This is what happens when I have some new equipment and nobody else to test it on.
I picked up a pair of SB-20 flashes from a local photog and couldn't wait to try out some multi-off-camera-flash. One for the flashes was set up at about eye level to the left of the camera and shot through a 24x30" scrap of white ripstop nylon and set at 1/4 power. The other was on the floor behind me. It was zoomed to telephoto and gobo'ed with a pair of DVD cases to narrow the beam a bit. The background is just the wall of our dining room. The flashes were triggered by 301P's.![]() ![]()

Great shots. Jealous of you having two flashes, I really really want a second

Nice shots and I too like the second one best.

It really does give you many more options when setting up a shot. I used to just use a piece of white foamcore as a reflector but it's just not the same. I found the pair of the older SB-20's in near perfect condition on craigslist for $75. I pulled the TTL out of one of them so it can be used on-camera if I ever need to.
edit: Did you ever pick up a monopod?
