Default Lindyanna Jones is to Blame for this !!!

My current area of focus in photography is the basic composition question of " why " .. what is the reason for this photo. Some photos can stand on thier own merit, we see them here in SyS everyday, But I'd like to explore more of the journalist side as it ties in more with my chosen style of photograhy.

So, I read tutorials by Jim Bryant and follow some of the DPS veterans who really put together great packages and then Lindy pushes me with a killer mulit-part series on Catus and I can't hold in the idea any longer ,,, so enough, here's the first ( pulled this from a previous reply and am putting it here )

Osprey trading Card

Osprey Backside
I am guilty of stealing the habitat and population text, but it seems general knowledge

It's a start, gotta build the portfolio with something with some meat on the bones, hope you like it... I know I been showing alot of them lately, but " tis the season for the chicks to pop thier heads out and I need to be there if I want to capture the babies.. Probably gonna do a Swan one next since I have many photos of them.

hope you like them and it inspires you like Lindy and some of the other Pros have done to me,

Vin

Great Picture and very informative; I also look forward to the next installment! I love bird and wildlife photography and as I learn more and get better at it, I might try putting something together myself. Right now I'm just shooting what I find in the time I have.
Thanks for Sharing these
Chewys Dad.

Brilliant. Blame it on the Boogie. Vin, I think the marriage of words and images was always in your future. I imagine you have grown up around the Osprey and that they were as familiar a sight as my saguaros were to me. Put a camera in your hand and you become wide-eyed and child-like as the potential for your photography expands. And you are learning some about graphic arts, as well, as you also learn how to present the new information you are acquiring. You hit it out of the ballpark on your first time to bat. Congratulations. And thanks. You honor me!

PS I taught my grandson, Taj, to sing Blame it on the Boogie when he was two. It is "our" song. What a smile I have on my face. Thanks, Beach, you chose well! Listening. Tah. Off to dance. I just can't control my feet!

Hey Vin, Lindy has an assistant in her teaching staff, and what a great teacher. Nature school is taking off in a big way. The first image is brilliant bud so clear and sharp and full of detail and the one contained within the text, you couldn't have chosen a better one. You have been taking a lot of notice of your Head teacher. This presentation is excellent. Can't wait now for the rest of the series. Looks like we will be learning all through the summer.
This is super work Vin.

Jake.
