Old vs New

I found this old power Plant while on the way back to the hotel while in Austin this past weekend. After a good once around I found that it would be better to put the smoke stacks on the left of the condo rather then shoot the power plant head on and place the stacks directly in from of the building.

I like your composition choice; very well done. I'd be curious to know your shutter speed, I like how you've captured the neon sign of the power plant.

Thanks Alan, this was actually an HDR image so what I had to do in order to get that neon sign corrected was mask back in a portion of one of the original exposures so that it wouldn't be blown out.

Well done... I hear that new Pentax K7 is supposed to do that in camera (but I don't see myself switching from Nikon for it).

Yea I hear that as well, maybe one day all manufacturers will have that capability. But that leaves me wondering if that will take the fun out of doing everything manually by having a well balanced (although not necessarily well composed) image completely done after the shutter.
