Great shots Beach. The perspective of the second one with the Sergeant's stripes showing and the troops in the background is truly creative and powerful. By the way, I always hated formation and parade when I was in the military, usually it meant there was a new general in town. But, I never would have minded welcoming troops home!

Nice pictures, I like the second one especially. May be I'm wrong (often have senior moments) but didn't the Cheshires used to have a black decoration from under the back of the tunic collar? Or perhaps that was the Welsh Guards? Forgive me I'm rambling! And when I was in the army that was a segeant major LOL

Great Shots Beach, Thought Provoking and the 2nd is a great perspective.
a couple of the solders in the 1st shot have wandering eyes; I guess they were at Parade Dress; "Eyes front Solders"
I Love the second shot as well. I wish they would bring all of our solders home. Especially my Grandson in Iraq.
Thanks for Sharing these
Chewys Dad.

Stunning pictures, all those young men, so serious, so proud. These are such thought provoking photographs. Yes,they should be home, and if the politicians want to fight, they should put on the uniform.

Absolutely wonderful images Beach. It's always an awesome sight to see military personnel get the honor they so richly deserve. I read somewhere that the Ghurkas can now retire from militart service in the UK? Great images Beach and yes, bring them home safely.

Nice lineup there...interested in how the faces are NOT all lined up sternly. Some are looking at you, some here, some there. I remember coming to a ceremonial guard at Buckingham Palace and trying to get him to even crack his expression. I failed. He was really impressive in how he completely ignored me. They are known for that!

Nice captures Beach.. I found myself looking at each face in the first... not sure why, maybe to connect somehow.. I also found it interesting they are not all looking forward, obviously they are experianced soliders ( as standing in parade has little to do with the real job ) . The second is cool, with the arms in focus and the soliders in the BG.. cool perspective.

I'm sure viewing stirs emotion for anyone who see them, and whatever feeling that may be, the photo's purpose is fufilled by it's record... well done Buddy !
