Cool Itty Bitty Bug Day

These shots are from a single tree I happened across on my weekend photo walk yesterday afternoon. I don't know why, but I sooo enjoy taking macros of small insects. They are just cool to me. LOL!

As always, your comments and constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged!

The second insect blends really well with the leaf! I like the color of the third insect. What kind of insect is that? Nice set you got there! Thanks for sharing!

Paul, I am sorry to say that I have no idea. I just call them orange flies. They don't seem to bite, but do appear to like staying near trees with large leaves. I see them all over this area -- none much larger than the one you see here. THANKS for the comment.

Thanks Fred. Insects, esp in macro, are interesting to me. It's like looking at them in a whole new way. The hairs, leg spikes, eyes, pinchers -- very cool design.

These insects are so small.. that you really need a good eye to catch them.. Great work on the shots..
