Had my daughter at the weekend so we v entured up to Aira Force Falls near Ullswater.. Bear in mind I only have a point and shoot I tried to get the silky water effect ... was quite happy it managed it if only on a small scale..... Hope you like.
No one could say why they do it but people place pennies etc in a fallen tree on the way up to the Falls so we added our own... Hopefully it is good luck ![]() The Falls I will Post later these are just some small Rocks above the falls but I liked the way they came out . ![]()

wow, look how green everything is! Even hand held with a ps you did a wonderful job.(Its isnt the camera that has an eye for a shot anyway) Isnt it odd how folks sometimes do wierd things to trees? When Elitch Gardens was still open, there was the gum tree. I was always amazed that the tree was still alive with inches of gum stuck to it. Nearly a hundred years worth of gum. gross

Nice shots FoG. You also have nice waterfalls. Like the penny in the tree shot also. Over here they just carve their initials in them.

lol 100 yrs maybe it is now preserved ? I am doing some PP on the others these are just Sooc ones that I liked running through them... I like my P&S but cannot wait to get a decent DSLR there were a couple with them there but they seemed to be doing tourist shots and I could not help but want to swap as I clambered about the rocks... I use a monopod now simply for the fact I need the stability as it has no inbuilt (next model up in range.) But it is REALLY green there I am trying to tomne it down in some PP work on some as it is a bit much will post others hwen done but for now off to work for me .. Have a lovely day Windrider

LOL hmmm never thought of that ! There must be a few 10's of pounds in it by now lol... It is on the way to Aira force falls in Ullswater Lake District UK. There were two guys with DSLR's and I have to admit I suffered severe Camera envy

I have been there myself and the tree really caught me by suprise as I almost walked right past it.
I think that the small area above the falls makes a much more interesting shot than the same old photo of the main falls most people return with from there. Here is one from my flick of the same spot ![]()
