Default Criterium

A cycling race came to town today. It was a criterium race which consists of 50 or so riders circling a 1.3 mile loop downtown which makes for great spectating and loads of photography practice. Here's a few.

DSC_0490
Thepro category winner at the finish line.

DSC_0205
The cyclist flying by a friend of mine like he's standing still ....oh I guess he is.

DSC_0158
A couple riders from our local club.

DSC_0080
I tooled around with this one and I think it turned out. Reminds me of a Nike ad for some reason.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks, man. I'm looking forward to the Tour myself...too bad we only get minimal coverage here.

I love these. Especially the second - really great shot. I'm doing a slow shutter speed assignment for my photography course atm and wish this was mine

LOVE the second shot! Really, really cool... I like how he's just sitting there hanging around and you've got cyclists flying by him giving it everything they've got... really interesting shot! Love it!

Hey Thanks! You know, now that you mention it - I kinda wish I would have played around with some even slower shutter speeds - maybe have gotten a blur from edge to edge. But, I'm really happy with how the 2nd turned out.

I appreciate it and am gladded you enjoy it. I wish I had a remote so I could have gotten myself in the picture - I'd definitely frame it somewhere.
