Default Take me out to the ballgame

PN001copy

I love how you can see the ball in the catcher's glove...

pn003

How do these guys do this w/o getting their hands all bloody?

pn004

And I of course could not miss an opportunity to photograph Dr Seuss!

Pat, these came out GREAT! Looks like the 75-300 served you well. Amazing action shots, really well done for your first foray into sports photography!

Fred and Susan, thanks for looking. I am not sure I can do this again in the Summer, I think I am a winter sports kind of gal - sooooooo hot.

Some great action here! Some players wear gloves on their hands when base running, others don't. The dirt isn't really that hard. The field gets manicured before every game and that softens it up a bit. It is hard enough to get "raspberries" though.
You did a fantastic job!

Wow Pat these are great action shots and the one in the catchers glove is excellent. We don't see much baseball over here so pardon my ignorance. Is this a local team and is Dr Seuss one of the great players? This is really great work Pat.

Jake.
