Colorado wildflowers

I always marvel at the macro shots all of you take of garden grown flowers. The first year I moved to the mountains, I was going to surround the house with blooming beauties. Late in April I went to the store and bought $300 worth of color. I plant them and admired them for two days. On day three, I awoke to 12" of snow and completely frozen flowers. I learned that year that we can get snow even in July so put aside my aspirations of a flower garden. Instead, I now enjoy the Colorado wildflowers that grow here every year on their own. They never get very big, but they are certainly wondrous.
