There has been a lot of bees flying about the forum lately including mine, but yours. Now that is a bee. Jiminy these are amazing, How do you do it the bees eye is stunning. I always love to see what you see through your lens and wow, you nailed them all. Outstanding work Jiminy. Thank you.
Jake.

jakethepig, Thanks
You can almost track the seasons by what appears on SYS! I have to say slow observation is my favorite tool, watching for early-morning lethargy in inects, or the slightly unsettled ones, having been almost-eaten, or crash-landing and stunning themselves. It just gives me time I need (with the slowness of my Fuji) to get some detail before they start flitting around and making it more difficult. The loupe magnifying lens is still working as well as in the beginning, and still gives almost - but not quite - the detail I hope to see. Even the daisy cooperated in the shot, getting a little pink assist from the sunrise. I'm glad you enjoyed the scene, too.

"Wicked" is good. "Wow" with a "wicked" is just "made-my-day" stuff. Hope your Saturday is grand, too.

Well how about I'm flabbergasted by what I see. Could you please explain the loupe thing to me, I'm relatively new here and I would love to know how you would go about using one.

Great Macro Work, I love the 1st one, but all are terriffic. The Bee's eye looks like it's greater that 1:1. What Lens or set up do you use for these shots?
Thanks for Sharing Chewys Dad.

Top notch work, jiminy Clickit! My favorite is the one of the fly. It's green and gorgeous, but not gaudy.
I'm still amazed that with such a narrow DOF, you're able to line things up just right and get all the important parts in sharp focus. Impressive. |
