Default Extreme Close-up of a Bumblebee

Caught this Bumblebee on an Althea this afternoon. Shot with XSi, 100mm Macro, 65mm tube, ring flash, and tripod. Broke my ring flash about a half hour after this shot so I just went in and ordered a MT 24-EX.

I really like the detail on the individual pollen grains.

You know a blind hog does find an acorn every now and then.

Wow! That just about made me fall out of my chair. That puts a whole new perspective on the bumble bee for sure! That is cool and kind of creepy at the same time. That is really EXTREME for sure!

Very cool, It kind of reminds me of the old budget sci fi's I used to watch with my Dad. Especially if it was a B/W. Nice work.

I totally agree with you --- the detail on the pollen is amazing. I must get myself a macro-lens --- I want to discover a world like this!

Absolutely Amazing Shot! I am just blown away at the sight of it. Puts an entirely new meaning to "Close-up" for me. Great job!
