Post Sultan Tekke Mosque at Sunrise

This is the Sultan Tekke Mosque, Larnaka, Cyprus. Taken around 6.30am in February this year. It sits on the edge of the salt flats, adjacent to Larnaka airport. The lake is also a visiting place for pink flamingo's, which is actullay what we went to shoot. My camera however, a Nikon Coolpix L16, is incapable of this, but I think this shot is good compensation.

Thanx Jake.

Out of all the shots I have taken with this little toy, this is my favourite so far.

I am saving for a real camera now...............but I don't know what to go for
I have to be a little careful here in Cyprus because of availability of accesories, lenses and stuff. I have been looking at Sony, Nikon, Canon and Olympus.

You are welcome. I have a Sony A300 and I love it but I am no expert, I think that you will be limited to what lenses you can use. You could visit one of the other forums here and they may help you make up your mind and they really are very helpful here. Maybe an expert from Cyprus there. Give it a try. See if you get any help.

Jake.

Thanx...I didn't think it was a bad shot for a Nikon L16! Some of these little P&S cams are pretty good. The macro on it is superb for such a little toy.

WOW ~ just WOW. That is an amazing photograph!

Not only composition wise but the coloring is so reflective and calming.

You did really really well with this shot!

Also, its not a part of the world this cajun mom gets to see often so it was nice to see it through your eyes!

Thanx for your comments, greatly appreciated!

So, have you been here at all, or anywhere else in the mediterranean?

I have been to Italy and Greece as a young girl. On tour with my parents. That is as far as I have made it in that direction.
