Wow, I love these... I have never been to europe much less Rome but I loved to see these. That first one is just amazing! Great work.

I love the colors in the first one but I like the old world feel in the second shot ~ very nicely done. I can't wait to see more!

So I took this without a tripod - thank goodness for image stabilized lenses. I was right up against a wall leaning as far back as I could. I set the ISO to 400, and I just held really still (exposure was .6 sec). I took a bunch of pictures of the left half, a bunch more of the right half - making sure to overlap. That's really it. More shots gave me more chances that one was sharp. Then I combined the two shots in Photoshop Elements. A tripod and a wider lens would have made this much easier -but I didn't want to lug a tripod with me through Italy and I don't have a wider lens.
