Default Mines BIGGER than Yours ;)

Well I just got my "new" Tamron 200-500mm lens and thought I would go take it for a test drive today.

Oh, I want one!!! I am so jealous but trying not to be bitter about it. These are some fantastic shots for sure.

Nice and sharp, and the colors look great. 500mm lens on a crop body. Amazing.

Congratulations! Seems like a good investment, because the pictures are super... errr...not dissing your artistic talent ... without which the lens would be of little use (phew!).

Thanks, but you don't always need a big lens to get birds. When I was done shooting the swans had swam to the shore on the other side of the pond. I quietly parked my car and snuck up on the with my D80 and 18-200VR and snapped these. These were taken between 90mm and 200mm. Unfortunately I did not think to check the ISO which was at 400, I probably could have backed it down to 100 and gotten better shots -- but these are not bad:

Dang you! Couldn't you have posted some out of focus, bad exposure shots so I didn't feel tempted to go price that lens??

Great job!
