![]() Took this Sat night at my nephews wedding. I used my new 17-40 'L' Lens all night but I was some what dissapointed that my best shot was taken with my nifty fifty.

That is a stunning shot !! I really like it. Also think it's pretty cool that they used jars for the candles at a wedding.

great shot of light!!! the DOF is amazing, and I really love the way the candle light reflects on the mason jar...and the angle you shot this on really adds to the drama

Great shot, dont worry too much about to 17-40 just go out and get some time with it, youll learn its sweet spots. Took me a while before i got comfortable with it, that was on my 30D before i went FF and got a 5D....whole other world lol.

Thanks again. Yea, it was my first time using the new lens and so far I love it. Just found out that after the sun sets its hard to get a decent shutter speed. I dont have a external flash so it looks like thats next of the "list".
![]() I could only get up to about 1/30 and every once in a while if I was standing in the right spot 1/60. So I had to switch over to the f1.8 lens to get those low light pics.
