Default Nikke Sue Nikon's Subdivision Sojourn Part II

Nikki Sue Nikon was a little upset with me yesterday because I didn't include some shots she wanted to share in yesterday's post. I explained the rules to her (no more than 4 in a single post), but she wasn't having any of it, so I said she could have free reign in tonight's post.

One of Nikki's favorites was this thistle puffball. She especially liked the gossamer threads glowing against the blue sky...

Then she blushed a little bit when we walked up on two stinkbugs involved in a romantic tryst....

A little deeper into the neighborhood, we came upon this piece of grading equipment that has been sitting idle for over a year.

Nikki's spirits picked up a bit, when we came upon this flowering vine which was growing wild.

Nikki Sue Nikon thanks you and now that she's had her post, I know she'll be a lot happier tomorrow!

Thank you! I've learned a lot from observing others here on DPS

A Very unusual looking flower. There were a lot of them around. I think they were part of a seed mix to prevent erosion.

I think they really were having stinkbug sex. They were coupled together very still and then would suddenly twitch

I go running in the neighborhood regularly so I get to see a lot. Also my photographic eye is different than what it used to be (Thanks DPS!!) so I'm seeing details I used to gloss over.

Thanks, Fred. If it hadn't been for looking at a lot of posts on DPS, I probably wouldn't have experimented taking that shot, and that's what it was, just an experiment. I was thinking, "Oh heck, why not"? And then when Nikki Sue saw it, she said, "Post that one!"
