Default Farmer's Market

I always love to go to the local farmer's market. Always some opportunities for some great shots. Here's a few I took over the weekend. BTW, on the one with the ladies tasting the strawberries, I haven't gotten around to it yet but I plan make the background black and white -- too many distracting colors and elements for my taste. I'm also considering making it all B&W and just erasing back in the color of the strawberries only. Anyway, here are the shots:

Strawberry Taste

Oranges

Berries

Rusty, as you know, sometimes these photos get pushed down extremely quickly. I absolutely love those raspberries! Really makes me want to run out and get some. I like your idea of converting the first to B&W.

lputman: Oh, I know they can go down fast. I really don't like bumping something back up but thought I'd try with this. I only do that on a very limited basis. To do it a lot, I believe, would be rude and insensitive.

And thanks for the validation about the B&W. I really believe it will work better. And I think I'm only going to bring back color to the strawberries (including the one's the ladies are tasting).

I also think the raspberries are awesome. They were under a canopy, so I had to use some flash for fill. I also focused on the center to get some depth. I also liked that there was one box missing on the edge to break up the uniformity.

The oranges also looked awesome to me. I did very little post to those, the colors are straight OOTC.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate hearing (reading) that. I agree totally. And like I said, the one missing box creates a really almost unconsidered point of interest.

The vendor told me that in a couple of weeks he'll have blackberries available and that he mixes the blueberry and blackberry boxes together. Should be an interesting shot.

Wow! That's so cool. Too bad he couldn't reach into the monitor and grab a handful.

I have to admit that at first I thought the raspberry shot was a bit cliched. But I also like it and had to share.
