I took some photos of swamp trees but I totally blew out the sky on them. I am going to have to try and go back during a different time of the day.
I turned them B&W and it helped a lot with the over exposure but they look SERIOUSLY creepy ~ like horror movie creepy LOL ![]() ![]()

Thanks guys! I am going to try and go back during sunset to try and capture them better. They were sooooo cool looking but my photography skills blew them out
![]() Here is a color shot I TRIED working with by adding different filters but egads noon is not a photographers friend! LOL At least you can see the detail of the cool swamp tree in this photo. When I turn it B&W I lose a lot of the detail of the spanish moss.

I think they look pretty good. I wouldn't call them creepy.... myabe they just have character? I seriously like the second one and the color version is still pretty good.

Neah these were beat pretty hard by the past few hurricanes. We have a lot of wetland trees that look like this LOL
Spanish moss is nothing compared to what a cat 5 hurricane can do LOL The half tree is still very much alive ~ lots of greenery. It looks like a storm just took out half of it LOL

This was taken at our spillway and the water is REALLY high right now. Usually you can walk most of the way through but they had white caps this weekend LOL They use the spillway when the Mississippi or the lake (lake ponchtrain which is really more of a bay) is high. They have signs posted everywhere that it is now considered a manatee habitat. I didn't see any while I was there (saw a gator though) I am going to find out when the best times to catch the manatees as that would make for a killer shot!

The first one (in black and white) looks like it would be right at home on the set of 'The Munsters'... just add some grainy effect to make it look like it's 30 years old
![]() I love the third image - great use of DOF. Grumby

I like how delicate that shot looked but again ~ I blew out the sky on it. If I keep it up all of my photos are going to be B&W haha
