Wow! That last shot is amazing! How far away was he? What lens did you use? Great detail including the whiskers and eye lashes.

If these are from a quick shoot, I am very interested to see what would happen if you had time. These are amazing. I love heron shots, and the deer look great. The colors are all awesome. I wonder where these are taken. We have similar wildlife here in TX.

Thank's paul, she was about 10 feet, shot with a 300 f/4L lens. It didn't quite work out the way i wanted. I tried to focus on the fly's and the camera focused on the nose instead. When they can hear the shutter, you don't get too many more opportunities.

Thank's morton, unfortunately shooting wildlife is almost always a quick shoot. You have very little time to get the shot off. On these shots , i took a 1.5 hour ride up the creek and got a little lucky and spotted some subjects from the road. I live in northern west virginia, and shoot in Oh , Pa , and WVa. Thank's for viewing.

That second shot is gorgeous...looks like you used a flash as its eyes are lit up.....surprised you got two shots out of this!
