Default Giraffe - VERY close

From Public

I never expected to get this close to a giraffe. What a beautiful animal.

Wow. That is close. What lens did you use and how far away were you really. It's still an awesome shot.

I hope I'm not stepping on toes by putting this here, but I wanted to say I agree on how amazing they are...up close and personal. I love your photo.

Well, I've been close (like the first shot which is excellent) but never as close as that leona. Yikes!

RustySterling, I was pretty close (20 feet?) and I was using my Canon 18-200 (love that lens).

Leona, thanks for that pix... that was great. I was close enough to touch it (it's big ole tongue!) but not close enough to hug it. The little baby (I think they said 11 days old) was SOOO cute.
