Default Pet Parade

My city has an annual Pet Parade and it happened to be this past Saturday. The parade a nightmare -- sorta, everyone start here now go, and it just a mass of humanity and their pets. Hard to really pick out anything. But before and after there are lots of opportunities. Kind of a nightmare day, it was high noon, bright sun shiny day, so I had to be really conscious of the light. The last shot is the only one I got from the actual parade. Here are some of my shots from the event:

Bulldog

Man and snake

Man with Rabbit

Baby You Can Drive My Car

Thanks Douglas. Of course, there were far more dogs than about anything. But there were some others, as you can see. I really like the man with his rabbit. They say our pets can reflect our personalities, and that seems to really show it. But my favorite is the first shot of the bulldog. Lot of personality in that face.

Wow, RS, your intuition about what makes a good composition is right on the money. Lots of folks have the technical skill to take a good photo and it can be taught. What you have in these photos is magic. In the third photo, clearly the man is not just sitting with his pet rabbit, they are in tune. You saw THAT. Jeepers. That's impressive.

Lindy: I'm so humbled by your comments. Yikes! I've been shooting for a long time, mostly off and on, and I've always hoped I had a good eye. What you said really makes me feel good about what I see and capture. Thank you so much. I only hope I can continue to grow as a photographer.

I love the first photo, doesn't the expression on the dogs face say it all.

I'm totally with you. The dog was looking at its owner and it is total adoration. Just love it.
