Default The Innocence of Childhood

Here are some photos of my Godchildren, the loves of my life. My Goddaughter just celebrated her first communion (thus the veil). Hope you like them

It's a great set of images, all told.
Surprising to myself, I don't mind the children being centered in the first two shots. You did an excellent job removing them from the background, and I think that lets it all come together.
The 3rd picture is definitely my favorite. Highlighting the black and whites was a nice move, and you have ALL the right lines going in that image. *thumbs up*
Keep the quality coming.

Thank you so much for your reply! I too, am partial to always following the rule of thirds. Therefore, most of the shots from this particular shoot have the children set off to the side. I agree though that the centering in these shots didn't bug me at all.

Heh, truth be told it's not it's not even that I buy into the rule of thirds on all occasions so much as I'm more stuck on the cinematic approach of not having your framed subject dead center. Regardless of the reasoning though, your composition still works for me.

Sorry, southernbelle. I don't like them. I LOVE them. These are the photos that will make the scrapbook, given the special occasion, and they will be so glad they had a professional to take them.

Great job belle, the kids are beautifully presented either in colour or black and white, the third picture is my favourite but what a great selection

Thanks so much, beach! Thy have such dark skin (their dad is from India) so it is sometimes hard to convert their photos well into b&w so that is a very nice compliment.
