Default Max @ Barafundle Beach

Hi Guys/Gals, was at the most beautiful beach today and had a bit of a mare with the sun, no cloud cover at all and as im relatively inexperienced and without much gear I just had to make do! Anyway, theres a large number of rubbish shots but out of say 250 I have maybe 10-12 really good pics, well I think so anyway, however heres is one of my favourite pics but its been spoiled by shadows, what id like is for some of you really clever people to work some magic and make it as good as it can be. If you dont mind of course.
I will post more later but heres the one I need help with for now. Thanks in advance.

That is a nice shot and personally I would not change a thing. It is a memory and that shadow is OK to have. Great little subject. He was having a good time. I am envious no beach near here. Great shot.

Use your flash at all times when wanting to get rid of shadows. If you have a manual flash setting, put it on about 1/16 power and take the photograph at a lower angle so as to throw the light under the hat. I still think they are just perfect as is.

The hat is Ok. Had you removed it, then, his beautiful eyes would be squinting. You perfectly captured the mood of your subject using a good background. I just noticed a guy behind the left arm and the horizon, a bit tilted. But all can be remedied in PP. Thnaks for sharing.

Hmm.. honestly.. I don't think you need to change anything regarding shadows..

I say that because.. you don't want dark shadows on the face.. but the shadow in this picture just shows out that the kid is having fun on a bright sunny day at the beach.. and the picture as is.. looks very cool.. There is no detail lost in his face or eyes.. I would keep it as it is if It was me..

On second though.. I was thinking that maybe you wanted to make this a portrait shot.. hmm.. well then.. guess you are right.. maybe I am wrong..
