Well, then, I guess I'm glad I didn't submit it, as well.
It's an abandoned Water Department facility in Kansas City. Overgrown with brush. I took it because I thought it was interesting. And, it is very much "abandoned."

When I look at this picture, I don't see anything that conveys abandonment. A wider or different angle might have captured the overgrowth, which would suggest abandonment or neglect. I'm just a tyro, though.

Thanks. Actually, I agree that it does not really convey a whole lot about the feeling or theme of abandonment. I thought it was an interesting image, on its own, and wondered if others thought so, too.
I'll be more careful in the future! Just figuring out my way around, here.

Yes it is an interesting shot and the contrasting colors work well but I can't take my eyes off of that lens flare.
