Default Old Goldmine Town - living the Wild West!

Some family and I went to an abandoned goldmine while in AZ over the last weekend. it was in Apache Junction at the foot of the Superstition Mountains.

Living the part:

Train leaving the depot:

Bordello?

Wink Old Gold Town

Really nice exposures. I was in that town once and ate rattlesnake. Wouldn't do it again. Tastes like chicken.

I love the Superstition Mountains. The are magnificant in those springs where poppies cover the base. Just as fabulous, though, is this photo with foreground of water tower and train. Wow! You do such a good job with these "Wild West" characters. Which character have you most identified with?

haha, I guess i would have to say a Railroad engineer would come to mind, although I didn't get his picture. You make an interest point though, part of the fun of portraits in a place like this is relating to the character.

The Dudtchman's (Jacob Waltz) lost gold mine is supposed to be hidden somewhere on Superstition Mountain. Did you look around at all?

Nice pics.
