Doors: The both/and of being

How often do we look at a door and really recognize it's significance?

A door is both/and. Meaning it is two opposing ideas at once.

A door is inclusive, keeping those whom we care about away from others. And it is also exclusive, it keeps others out.

A door is protection from dangers great and small. It also prevents others from helping us when the dangers are on the inside of the door.

A door is a boundary, it tells others where to stop and where they can get lost.

Doors also provide mystery to otherwise simple life. Behind each door is an enigma just waiting to be solved.

A door protects things in our absence and becomes our bane when we, the owner become locked out.

Doors are everything and nothing all at once.

Nice series. Love the color on the first one.

I love doors. I went throught the French Quarter in New Orleans one day last February taking nothing but doors and windows.

I LOVE that first one. Makes ya wonder what or who has sat in that chair and what might lie behind that door. The treatment you gave this is wonderful.
