Default I love a Challenge

And this was by far one of the most Challenging shoots ive ever done, NO stage lights on in the venue. Closest light source was from the bar which is a good 20+ feet away from the stage (and they were just simple hanging lights) I really do prefer not to use my flash durring shows, mainly because i realyl like to play off the ambient light in the venues (especially when i get a decent light set-up on stage) But unfortunately the last two places the band has played have had the worst stage lighting ive seen in a while. So all of these shots were flashed, some off camera triggered with STE2 and some on camera with bounce + forward reflector.

Ryan Chandler.

Yes he is playing a Saw with a Violn Bow. Imagine the sound whales make when calling to each other (uses it with a distortion petal)

Matt Rogers.

Rdy, set, ....

From the Shadow.

Thanks for looking.

Great job Hugh, it takes real knowldge and ability to overcome the almost insumountable problem of limited or non existent light, and the results are excellent, well done buddy.

tyvm beach, It was really challenging but fun at the same time. Really had to think about where the flash would be bounced or shot across from.
