Default 500 Ft up for a yoga shoot

My wife, daughter, grand daughter and myself hiked three miles of trails to summit this butte for a yoga photo shoot. Tomorrows post will have some great scenery shots from up here. Stay tuned!

All three started with a tree pose
_IGP6610

then came some forward lunges
_IGP6619

downward facing dog
_IGP6594

this last pose balancing on a rock high above the ground requires a lot of strenght and concentration.

OK, Now you should have had the warnings. Poor girl is half hanging off a rock! I would have hated to see where you had to go to get the pic! But these are fab! Breathtaking! Ri

Wow, three generations on top of a mountain practising yoga. I now can't wait to see the views from up there. The last one is excellent Up North. Thanks for sharing your spring.

Jake.

What a great idea, and well-photographed, too. The pose in the last shot is amazing. I can only imagine how much work and practice it takes to be able to do that. Amazing!

Do you happen to know the name of that last pose?

Thank you Lakitu, my daughter is the healthy one as this climb up the butte was her 4th for the day and taught her yoga class earlier in the day.

LOL, i guess that was bad timing on my part. To take this photo i was using a 200mm lens and had to climb down alittle to get this angle. BTW Thanks.

Great shots, I've tried a small bit of yoga and it was rough, and I only did the tree and lunges, I can't imagine the amount of strength the others take!
