Default Mustang P-51 @ Duxford

hello all, this is my first post so do tell me if i am doing it wrong lol
(is there an introduction thread?)

The Photos
i was lucky enough to be able to go to this years spring airshow and for the weather to be ok for most of the day these are two of my top snaps from the day of the Mustang, unfortunately the weather turned and after taking off it circled the airfield and had to land again but i managed to get these two shots when it was on the way up

if you are interested there are a few more shots from the day on my website www.alex3410.com

Hi Alex,
And welcome to a great site and a great bunch of people. I hope you enjoy yourself here, Love these images, what a great capture!! Duxford is such a cool place to visit and I am hoping to go visit soon. As for your images? nice job, shame it was a little dull but it does not take away from these nice panning shots. I look forward to seeing more of your cool images.
Have fun
David.

This is obviously a cry for help... And if you will send me an airline ticket to an airport near you, I will be more than happy to help you TAKE MORE AIRCRAFT PICTURES!
Thanks for sharing, you have captured the perfect images for Memorial Day!

Great shots! Very good panning action in the second one. The crisp plane against the blurred background suggests speed. Love the Mustang!

thank you all for the warm welcome

Duxford is amazing i joined friends of Duxford a few weeks ago so can now go as many times as i want for a year so don't worry there will be lots more plane photos lol

the weather was not brilliant but there where a few patches of blue this is a shot of the mustang on the ground before flying started with a nicer sky.

It was a good day out and i would recommend the airshows to everyone (a little on the expensive side but as i am a student i get a discount lol).

The only downside was they left the spitfires until last which meant they where not up for long either (due to weather) they did the same last year as well and i missed them as the girl friend wanted to go (after 6 hours on windy airfield i was not going to argue lol)

Link to Duxfords site www.duxford.iwm.org.uk

Thanks again for the warm welcome and comments
