Default An unusual flower

Playing around in the home studio again. I have thought about shooting bananas for awhile. Found this vase under the counter and decided it provided a nice color contrast. I'd appreciate your comments. I used the Westcott Spiderlites (TD5 and TD3)

Thanks praline. Doesn't it look like the banana has a face?

Thank you both for those kinds words. It was fun and I was looking for something a bit unusual. There was just something about a banana that was calling me to shoot it. Finding the vase was an added plus.

What a clever idea - the second one is sort of...ummm, phalic. My English teacher would be very proud, seeing that stuff is everyday images. The colors are amazing BTW.

Clever idea, and really nice results. I guess you have a special background setup to get that pure white background, and good lighting (the Westcott's). Do you have a photo of your studio/setup, or is that trade secret material? !

It does seem to have a face and an expression that might be a response to the mention of Banana Nut Bread. It's has a "Yikes" quality to it. You are so darned clever. This just makes me smile!
