We've had some crazy weather here this week. Lots of flooding - our dams have finally risen to non drought levels (only one dam is not at 100%, and that's now at 70%). 1/3 of our annual rainfall came down on Wednesday. We've had a state of emergency, and a natural disaster declared. Fortunately, we've personally only had a couple of cm of water through under the house, and the hole in the roof that we thought plugged a few years ago needs more silicone. Very fortunate.
But at the beach, it's a different story. Headed down to the border, and this is what I saw at Snapper Rocks, and Point Danger today. It was a mini photo club meeting there, as everyone else with a camera showed up for the show of nature's fury. ![]() ![]() The sea is frothing like a cappuccino. Strong winds and king tides make for danger, but one or two intrepid folks ventured out from the closed beaches. I don't think they went far, however, too dangerous. It's days like today that remind you that nature is the one in charge, not us. Cheers Jane
