The humour in the first one makes this such a great capture. Sometimes accidental shots make great shots as you have proved so well. Well done with the selective colouring, you have learnt well. She looks like someone just told a silly joke. Thanks for sharing the funnies Rian.
Jake.

Thanks Windrider! It's about the small things in life!
Jake - the funny thing is she just has the type of personality that she laughs easily. I am grateful for that! But, at 5, she also knows what she wants! I just recently started school going for a BA in photography and I am working on my portfolio and I have a photograph of her from last summer that I am including, I called it Pure Attitude, and it was one of those Mom, WHY are you taking my picture?? Just gotta love it. Actually here it is... ![]() (and yes, she was a blond and when I dyed my hair a few months back I caved and let her do hers too, she loves it...and I guess I am a bit of a free spirit when it comes to self expression, even in a 5 year old, she knows what she wants she likes the black hair way better then the "yellow stuff") |

By hard fate Rían born into such days, for she was gentle of heart and loved neither hunting nor war. Her love was given to trees and to the flowers of the wild, and she was a singer and maker of songs.
The Children of Húrin, J. R. R. Tolkien Nice work Rian, good to be a free spirit, and good luck with your BA beachcomber |

Beach Thanks for that wonderful quote, it actually sounds like me, only I do not sing well, I did write poetry for many years. My husband has that book, so first thing I did was look it ip. Its funny, when I choose to spell Ryan different, I didn't know that anyone had ever used Rian anywhere...now it kind of feels a bit more special to be Rian, a great name from the wonderful author of the Hobbit. (One of my fav stories)
Thanks for the luck, tucking it away, Never know when it will be needed! Ri |
