Default Swan babies saved from the brink

here's two photos where the sun had it's way with me, both photos almost didn't make the cut .. but cuteness factor saved them and I might not have another opporunity until next year ..

White blowout or not .. worth keeping

I'll go this way

Moe, Larry, and Curley ! swim into the Light agrrrh lol

this is exactly what I try my hardest to avoid with swans, but no choice, I was not going to try and shoot standing in the river !!

Life Lesson2
half blown out, half in shadow, I softened it a little to reduce the hardness which helped a bit.... can't always hit one out of the park ! .. oh well, happy to have it and share it here even though I was not able to follow some of my own advice lol.

thanks for taking a look

Vin

Vin - they are so cute .. I love the 3different directions the little ones are facing .. the background makes for dramatic backdrop .. the most important thing here, Vin, is - you captured it all .. great effort and determination .. beautifully done

That's the kind of shot that you have to take it when you can get it. I love it.

The fun lies in the journey! Even if I hit a few bad golf shots......the worst day of golf beats the best day at work!...at least it does for me! Same principle applies to photography!

I love the first shot. On cuteness factor alone it's a great shot. The background just adds to it. Nice work.

Sometimes we have to take what we are offered and make the best of it. I am very glad you did, and thinking about it I can't recall every seeing a swan chick. IMO the one swimming into the light really makes the photo work, good job. White birds are very difficult, so far I haven't had a lot of success.

Well, I'm glad you let them make the cut. I enjoyed them both.

How cute are those babies?! I took some pics of baby geese this weekend. They are so cute when they are young and fuzzy like that! Love it!
