Hi there buddy. I just had a look at the critique that you got on this. Sorry that you got that response. The dead child was a bit scary. You have got to remember. Critique is a good way of learning and the people who give the critique are looking from the real photographers eye. So it can be very helpful.
With regard to posting it here. This is a great place just to share what you think is a fav picture and want to share as a fun shot which is what this is. And as that it becomes a priceless shot which would grace your albums at home. I just love it when the kids fall asleep in silly places. This is a real awwww and a cute capture. Nice one buddy and thanks for sharing it here. Jake.

I think that this is great and very cute.....I could see potentially how one might view this as a dead child, but that is really pushing the imagination I think. I know that those who critique must do so as though they saw it in a gallery without storylines that we attach here to help viewers understand what they are looking at or to steer someone towards a more humorous approach to the photographs. I guess it helps at the least that a photo could possibly be horribly misinterpreted.

The guy who thought it looked like a dead baby must have never had children. I have several shots of my daughter falling asleep in strange places and wierd positions. Sometimes I felt like she could sleep anywhere except her bed! But I think it is adorable!

I really love the lighting and contrast. It reminds me of an old photo. I would agree that a different camera position would have changed the "feel" of the photo. I would have liked to see her sleeping face close up in this photo. Her eyelashes being emphasized. Also, a classic sleeping pose for kids is the hands together under the cheek.
