If you open these latches, do they take you time traveling to another era? They look as though they could. The shapes and textures are lovely. I've heard of letters. Wasn't that a form of communication back in the olden days?

Morning cousin! They do indeed............such old houses/cottages; posting some examples tomorrow. I love wandering around this tiny village.
And 'letters'..............your brilliant comment made me laugh out loud..............they even have a postman on a bicycle; the written word still lives-hooray!!

I love the textures that you have captured in these excellent shots from the old doors. It is great how they stand the test of time. I wouldn't like to be the one who attempts to get the screws out lol.. That is one spooky keyhole too. Nice work moi of these very interesting sujects.. Can't wait for the house details.

Jake.

My friend lives in Shere! Her house is quite old too! I wonder if you took any photos of her house!

Hi jake. Thank you for the kind feedback. There is such a HUGE variety of door furniture around the village-very interesting to see. The keyhole really reminded me of a little ghostbuster figure!!
