Default Weird White Flower and White Ibis

I don't know the name of this flower (it was on a tree, actually), but I thought it was interesting.

Weird White Flower

And here's another white ibis shot:

Another White Ibis

Thanks for looking.

I don't know it's technical name but I call it "amazing"! That is super cool and very interesting. I also love the Ibis of course but that flower just grabbed my full attention.

Great work Chip. I have never seen a flower like that myself. Nice work on the Ibis.

Thank you, Vin. The ibis was fairly still for a while, which helped get the exposure right. I still struggle with white birds in full sun.

I wish I knew. It's part of a tree that's growing all along a stretch of a reiverbank.

Michelle - Glad you liked the flower. Bees and love bugs are drawn to this flower in a big way . . . I had to wait to find one with no flying things on or around it. I have some other shots of these flowers, with a deeper DOF. I'll post those when I have a chance

Great Job on both the Flower and the Ibis; I agree white birds are very hard to get the details to show and you did a fine Job.
Chewys Dad.
