I love little blue heron shots. I particularly like the first one - great detail.

Thanks Hayward, this guy was having a very difficult time catching his lunch. I was very well camouflaged, most of the time he was thirty to fifty feet or so away, but at one point he came close enough to try to catch a lizard that was between my feet. Wanted the shot, but absolutely could not move to get it, maybe next time. Had a good thing going until other people showed up and spooked him, of course I spooked them when I stood up and they didn't know anyone else was around.

Thank you, sometimes the captions help to add a little humor or explanation to the shots.

Thanks Chip, I took so many of this guy I have a difficult time picking out the ones to post, just picked these to put together a story this guy was doing.

Thanks teedlepeep, "Birds are great subjects", Please tell my wife that. Right now all she asks me is "Can't you take some photos of people"? I remind her that I have turned down three weddings this month, I honestly can't convince the brides and grooms to either sit on a tree limb or stand in the water so I will know how to take the shot. By the way I am not a pro, these are family members that are too cheap to hire a pro, but I refuse to get involved in it.
