Default jumping into the deep

Hi all, after trying out a few photography boards I got really sad, seemed like you had to be a pro or pretend to be one, or else no one would comment on your pics or burn them down.

Than I found DPS while looking for some photography tips and hung around for a while.
This looks like a friendly board where every one is welcome.

So here are my first pics:

Hope you enjoyed.

Thanks for the compliments.
Paquita has been with me for 7 years now, she is one of the sweetest dogs ever.

Welcome to DPS! I look forward to see a lot more of your work. And you certainly have a beautiful dog.

Hi Peet and a warm welcome the frienliest and most helpful site on the web here at DPS. As Windrider say, why would anyone knock your work. These are all excellent captures. Love the lightiing in the first one and the use of the lines in the second one. Paquita is a gorgeous dog and love the detail that you captured. Your experiment worked really well in the last one. Very nice gradient colours. I look forward to seeing more of your work Peet, you have made a great start...Have fun.

Jake.

Why would anyone shoot your pics down? They look terrific, to me. It must be a photographer envy thing. I see something that is nice or wish i could do, i compliment and try it myself. Anyone can take a picture, but to capture the feeling of the moment through the shot is what is hard to do. Maybe they are jealous! Like i am of that great Dog pic! lol.
