Default Testing,testing, 1 2 3

When I ride, I carry a P&S with me rather than my DSLR. My Canon A560 has been my trusted friend but has now seen better days so I decided to get a new one. I usually carry something small and relatively inexpensive because I have broken a few in riding accidents. I decided this time to go with the Nikon Coolpix L20 and these are a few test shots that I took last night while playing with the settings.

An old mining shack
DSCN0068

Equipment left behind
DSCN0071

Testing the zoom on the shaft located up on the hill
DSCN0077

And checking a macro shot

Over all, I think it's going to work out ok. It has a larger screen than the Canon did and it is more compact.

Looks like you have aquired a good friend there Ftboah. The pictures are sharp and crisp with nice detail and the macro shot came out great too. Nice subjects for the test by the way. Great to have a new friend on the rides. Can't wait for more.

Jake.

Hayward, I'm always looking for something that isn't too complicated when I ride. I usually have my hands busy with other things.

Nice to know that you like it Teedle. Nothing better than hearing it from someone who uses it all the time.

Thanks Mark...There is a time and a place for everything and carrying a DSLR while on horseback isn't my idea of a good time. I'd be too paranoid.

Great test shots FoB, isn't it interesting how we can no longer just take a quick picture of something .. nope, it has to be a composed Image, I say this cause I know alot of us here are the same way LOL !!

good luck with your new Riding Camera .. I bring my little canon on the Harley sometimes when I ride.. same way too paranoid with the dslr .
