Default Beauty and the Beast (warning, shocking content in 3rd pic)

First came the Beauty ...

016

A tighter macro to show her fine features ..

017

And THE BEAST .. not a kilometer down the road, a gravel pit the size of Area 51 .. Not as nice ..

Beautiful flowers Jack. Quite a difference between the two areas.

Thx Fred .. the issue for many is that these two shots are 500 Metres apart .. there's another equally big pit on the other side of the road .. It's grandfathered into the permit and needed aggregate to fuel the build of Greater Toronto Area, but what a shame .. the flowers are on a side trail of the Bruce Trail ..

You have some lovely detail in those flowers Jack and colours too. That is some beastly gravel pit, you are right not as nice as the flowers, but an awesome photograph.
Great work buddy.

Jake.

Thx bud .. there are tons of pits on the escarpment .. it's a registered world wide protected ecological zone, but I guess these were there prior to the designation .. sad
