Default horses out of sight, wildflowers in view

I went looking for the horses again at Dragonsmeade Farm but they were all on the other side of the field out of view so I retreated to a plot of land that has a walking trail cut through the grassy fields and got out to see what might be shot worthy. There were quite a few of the white flowers out there and a number had bugs on them.....so you take what's there.

moth on flower

bug and flower

ant on flower

I like this one because it conveys the "wildness" of the wildflower, growing along with the tall grasses, certainly not a staged garden shot.

pjflan7,

Ants are really fast, and nervous, and yet you got one that shows the little white "feelers" on the backside. Really good shooting.

Man, wonderful shots. White is not easy to do and you have it down perfect. The colors are fantastic, the clarity is spot on. Big time Kudos

Thanks Jiminy, It was a bit unusual that it stayed there. It was preoccupied with something...so that's good for me!

Thanks Windrider....It was a brilliant day with vibrant blue skies with overhead sun. It just lit these flowers up to a really bright white. I sure liked them.

Beautiful work Patrick. I really like what you've done with the different bugs. Nice job.

Wow, in the third shot with the ant you can see pollen laying on the petals. Great clarity and focus.

Hello my friend~ What an awesome set of photographs. They are all spot on perfect! That ant however has to take the cake! It is so perfectly sharp, not that the bee or the moth are not, they are! That ant however is so much closer he really demands attention. I agree with you about the last one as well. Really nice to see the flower in its natural state with the tall grass protecting it. Awesome set!
