Default From The Backyard To...

The park. We have an exchange student living with us for a few more weeks. Yesterday, he and I went for a photo walk. I got a head start in the backyard...

First I saw a Daisy and It's shadow.

Me And My Shadow

Then I saw a Daisy Chorus to the sun, can't you just see them stretch up!

Chorus To The Sun

We then went to a local park and nature trail here in Wichita. I got lucky right away...

Just Flew In.
Is it a moth or a butterfly? Hmmm.

Soon after that shot, we went into the deepest darkest jungle. Well actually just the woods, but in this next image, it looks like a jungle river. If you look real close, just about mid frame. You will see the silhouette of a big daddy snapping turtle. Now I don't really know if this guy was a guy or a gal, but it's shell was the size of a diner plate!

Jungle River

We had great fun, except for the mosquitoes that kept dive bombing us. More fun coming. Camping tomorrow!

Looks like you had fun, I am so eager to go on a photo walk, but my son has been sick all week. I really like your daisy/shadow!

Nice set! From the backyard to the jungle. That must have been a great photowalk! The daisy with the shadow is my favorite. I love the daisy and the shadow against the texture of the fence.

Thanks Hayward. Yes he is, he will soon be purchasing a DSLR. He has captured some great images with his P&S. I'm sure he'll do great with his DSLR.

What a fantastic series of pictures, so simple yet so effective, the colours are beautifully toned and subtle.
I think all four pictures are a wonderful and a great result from a great day out, and its certainly a place to return to

beach
