Default Of a bee and butterfly

Hi everyone,

Lots of buzzy and flying things in the garden at the moment so I've tried to take a few shots of them. Boy do they move about fast !!! Anyway here's a couple of the ones that stayed put !

I love the way he's collected so much pollen

hard at work

I don't know what variety of butterfly (or moth ?) this is.

mmmm tasty

Lovely detail and DoF in both captures Teresa, Yes, they move so fast. So frustrating when you are aiming for perfection. The butterfly made a nice pose for you. This is lovely work Teresa and your patience paid off.

Jake.

Teres, these are gorgeous. You've captured some wonderful colors and the industrious operations of two lovely insects. Thanks.

These are gorgeously captured shots. I love the great colors and great focus you have here. I am pretty she she is a "Painted Lady" butterfly. We just saw a bunch of these at a local butterfly festival. You can compare her to one of mine on my flickr.

Really beautiful work!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and to Lisa and Michelle for their suggestions as to the type of butterfly. I'll have a closer look today when they are feeding again. I'm looking forward one day to getting a true macro lens then I will be spending all day with my camera instead of nearly all day !!

Thanks again.
