Default The metal leaf

I was snapping pics at work today. ( yeah, Slow day )
I found this leaf laying on the metal dock that must have been there for a long time. It looked like it took on the characteristics of the metal.

I flipped it over and took another shot.

No, i looked closely. It was almost like a powdery mold. I cant describe it. It is a machine factory so there is a light mist of oil that is in the air, even if you can see it. That may have something to do with it. But the leaf was crumbling as i moved it. Dont really know what the white spots are. We do not use paints .

That's a neat looking leaf. I love how it contrasts well against the dock.
