Default A busy mother bird...and some sad news.

Here are some more shots of the mother Starling (the one who built a nest in our air duct) bringing food to the little ones. I swear she never stops! Her whole day is spent searching for food...flying back to the nest...flying away to get more food. I took these shots using my tripod this time. A much better idea! The photos are slightly clearer...and my arms aren't so tired from holding up the camera and waiting, waiting, waiting.

This baby bird I found not too far from the nest...on the ground. (The nest is about 10 ft up the side of the house) I'm not sure if it fell out...or if it is even a Starling baby. It doesn't even look like the eyes had opened yet. Sad .

Birds are one of the most difficult of animals to shoot and you did a great job. Sorry about the little one but nature takes care of us all. Good work.
