Default Slow shutter speed

While i was coming back my home i saw this waterfalls which i usally used to see . I had my Nikon D-40 and gave a try about slower shutter speed.COme out well hoewvere i did edit something like darken and actually just darken and deepen in Photoscape program.Hope you will like it too.Thanks.

I beleive if you go lower shutter speed and maintain the exposure correctly you can get even beatiful pictures. this is not that great shot i guess

I tried my luck at this the other day, it was midday bright out side. ISO was 100 and my Fstop was around 20ish I believe any larger and my photos were over exposed even when I had the exposure at -7.0

Look at your light meter and expose it correctly . I mean if you have to change
the aperture or shutter speed just fux the light meter so that it could be in "0" and you have the right correction. And more thing is you do not want to shake your camera if you tried to use really longer exposure. if you want longer exposre find something that is still or use a tripod.
I am just a beginning student of photography and thats how far i know about light meter and exposure.
But you can give a try.
