Default My Semi-Famous Friend and a Chevy Pick-up

A few members who watch the Speed Channel, and specifically " Unique Whips " ( like overhauling for the Rich and Famous ) may recongize my good friend "Chet" from the show.. sometimes when we're out riding or doing something people will walk up and ask for autographs... it is what it is, he takes it in stride.... anyway, he brought over a pretty cool Chevy Pick-up tonight and I had a chance to try some night shooting.

I know nothing of Night photography other then shooting the moon... My driveway lights were all I had ... thank goodness I know a little about my camera... not too bad for a novice ... I see alot of areas of improvement, but for a first shoot, not too bad..

I didn't much PP.. just a little cropping and adjusted for the yucky yellow light

Not too shabby

Huge engine, big blower .. hole crow it was loud , nice workmanship on the engine bay

671ci, w/blower LOUD ! FAST !

I really had no idea what the heck I was doing ... but it was fun just playing around and making it look like I did, here's me trying to be creative lol

Me trying to look like I know what I'm doing

and a terrible shot of Chet and my brother Lou about to go for a ride, I apologize for the subpar quality, but since noone paying me , who cares !!

Chet from Unique Whips- Speed Channel

We never would have thought growing up, that Chet would be on TV ... but he's been working on cars since be was a kid... very funny and talented guy and a great friend !

So, something completely different this time, night shooting with disgusting light and automotive photography !,, I'm gonna get another chance to shoot the Truck in the daytime... with my gear and some light and time to think .. I will certainly be posting some of those ( which I am sure will be much better )

I'm quite the novice as Night shooting and Cars, but like sunsets and wild birds I will improve !!

thanks for taking a look,
Vin

Vin, I like them all. I think they are very well done, and as good as they are, I know you'll improve on these. I once had a '58 Chevy pickup. They didn't change the bodies on the trucks year by year like they did the cars, so mine looked a lot like that one, except it had dual headlights. It also had the wrap around rear window. Traded a motorcycle for it. Wish I still had the truck. Looking forward to seeing your daylight shots.

I am not near a car or truck person, but I think these shots are well done. They're interesting to look at. I really like the 3rd one. Very cool.
