Hope you guys are not tired of me giving you the bird! The good folks in the bird ID group in Flickr tell me this is a Grey Kingbird. Enjoy

That's a nice picture. It's clear, the lighting is good and the bird's eye stands out with a real nice catch-light. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks Trader, I am not sure of the background, but it seems to work.

Thanks Fred, I have been on the bird kick ever since buying a new lens. My wife sure hopes it wears off soon, and probably the people here too.

Great clarity and detail. Fabulous focus! You can give me the bird anytime, I wont take it personally.

I love the clarity of details in this photo. I feel challenged to take better photos of birds. What telephoto lens did you use here?

Thanks Teresa, I have several shots of this type of bird that are technically better, but I like this the most.

Thanks, most of the time we are our own worst critics. I like this photo, but the background bothers me some, one time I see it I dislike it, the next time it is interesting. The lens is the Sigma 150-500mm, some people have great results others have problems. Mine has been good enough for me up to this point, and at least for now I am not moving up in lens quality.
