Smile Baby Baby

Tried my first "studio" type of photo shoot with our 1 week old. It's A LOT harder than I thought. I didn't get some of the traditional type of baby shots I would have liked but thought these turned out well. Here are a few and I have some more on my Flickr. Most of these shots I used natural lighting from the living room window.

Thanks

Here is a moment I caught luckily of my eldest embracing the role of big sister;

I thought the perspective of this one turned out well. I'm also a fan of the muted colors

Here's the big guy awake;
Entertaining

We were having a hard time posing him, so we finally just let him pass out on a stuffed animal;

Adorable shots! He's a cute little guy. I especially like the first one.

my favorite by far is the first and last one, love the textures in the last one, and the first one is too cute for words...

Thanks, it almost didn't happen. She was acting like such a ham I couldn't get her to hold still. I was taking a break and then happened to look over to see her gently rubbing his back, I fumbled with the camera and just started firing.

Thank you. I was hesitant about how the animal shots would turn out because I thought there might be too much animal but I'm pleased with the end results.

Thank you, I liked how the fabric matched the material of the puppy.

I love these! I wish I had a clear spot in my house where I could take pictures like this of my daughter. We have gorgeous hardwood flooring in the livingroom, but every shot has either the couch, television, or her toys in the way. I need a backdrop in a bad way!

I bought a yard of fabric from Hobby Lobby for $6. My wife is holding it up behind the baby. These shots were in my living room and the one of him on towel is in his room.
