Welcome to DPS! Great capture! These have to be the hardest subject to capture. I have one that comes every evening and I have yet to get a clear shot of the little guy. Of course mine also comes to a feeder. Yours is much more natural with the flowers and you did a fabulous job freezing him in action. Wonderful job!

Nice capture and great composition. Really good all around shot. Welcome to DPS. Good place to get some advice and learn different techniques.

Thank you, they are tough little buggers to shoot. I used to set up a feeder, but got lucky this year when the cactus plant 5 feet from my patio decided to provide some natural energy for them.

Hey Bill, Welcome to DPS, fellow Arizonan. I'm your neighbor in Tucson. What I wouldn't give to get a shot like this. Good for you! What a nice way to introduce yourself! I hope you'll come back soon with more photos. Again, welcome!

The flower twig cutting diagonally gave the shot a good composition. I also like the clarity and the simplicity of the background. But the focus on the hummingbird isnt that sharp.
